Up, up, up. The tram was almost new and had only been in operation about a year. The design was unusal. It made a very small impact on the forest. There was a pole about every 60 feet. The design had the cars going up riding on the lower cable and the cars coming back down riding directly above them. The ones going up were 10-50 feet above the ground and went through the trees under the canopy. The cars coming down varied from 40 to about 70 feet above the ground and was almost always above the tree tops. I am sure the crusie lines helped build it because there are not a lot of options on the island. Cruise lines make lots of money on the excursions.
