Homer and Soldotna

This is the world famous Burger Bus in Kenai (old town.) This was a very nice warm day so there was a long line to get our burgers.

This really is an old school bus. It is common to see a converted bus serve as a home or anything else in AK.

Dale lives about 15 miles up the road at Soldotna. He served as our most able guide and driver all day long dispite having a summer cold.

Nancy was eating for two. David went deep water fishing leaving her to join us for the day.

It can't be seen here, but this sign has about 100 notes of best wishes and signatures from all my friends in the Association of Christian Librarians. The conference was in Cedarville OH in June and was the first I had missed in more than 30 years. ACL members are part of my family of friends and supporters during hard times.

The land bridge out to our ship is called "The Spit." It is a tourist attraction with lots of diners and motels. This is where Alaskans go to vacation and with good reason.

The ending of another wonderful day in Alaska. It was so sunny and warm today. That is the spit in the background.

This is the Cook Inlet and leads up to Anchorage. We sailed from Anchorage the day before this one.
