On April 12-13, 2008, amateur radio operators (hams) from Southwest Missouri and Northern Arkansas met in Branson, MO at the Titanic Museum to commemorate the anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic. Local hams led the effort and secured the equipment, much of it on loan from Icom Radio of America. For the second year in a row, hams endured bitterly cold wind chills. The temperature was about 38 degrees F. and the wind was gusting up to 35 MPH.
